Introduction to Ballet

This class is designed as an introduction to ballet's most basic principles, and is intended for students with no dance experience, although beginners with a few years of study will also benefit from the coursework. We will be discussing the theory and history of ballet, the "why" behind some of its biggest mysteries, and ways to continue your learning outside of class. Basic barre and center work will be covered, with careful consideration of space limitations and student safety. Additionally, students will develop a customized strength and stretching program to suit their body's individual needs.
